Residents News Channel 3 spoke with said the closure raises concerns about access to healthcare in the community. Bernice Bolis, who regularly uses Sturgis Hospital for lab work and other medical care, said she worries about what the loss of a local hospital will mean for residents, particularly older adults. “There isn’t another hospital close,” Bolis said. “And that’s hard for sure.”
